Service Description

A rare opportunity to learn about the fascinating art of corn dolly making. We are delighted that the very talented Sue Tomkins is coming to tell us a brief history of corn dollies, and a bit about straw preparation, before being guided through actually making our own. With Valentine’s Day ahead we will start with a Compass Plait Heart then have a go at either a Welsh Border Fan or Glory Braid/Diamond Plait. Depending how we get on there may be time for more… There will, of course, be the usual light refreshments, and time for questions. Book early to get a place on this highly unusual workshop and keep up the interest in this ancient skill.
