Crafty Christmas Trees

Service Description

Come on join in a lovely festive event with a difference…….. Bring your imagination and some small Christmas decorations to use/swap/share and spend time creating a decorated little wooden Christmas tree to bring festive cheer to your home. We have supported Men in Sheds, Goole, who have made the trees for us. The trees are approximately 12” tall and can be decorated on both sides for display on window ledges or tables. Also included are some decorations, including fresh greenery, and festive refreshments. It is a non-tutored workshop but one where we can all share ideas and inspiration and swap spare decorations to complete our individual creations. The trees are made of wood offcuts and most of the decorations are recycled, or real greenery, to make this session as environmentally friendly as possible. PLEASE NOTE: please bring secateurs/ scissors/ wire/glue/tiny hooks/ribbon/string etc to supplement what we can lend/provide, plus your spare small decorations. The trees will be available from July to give you time to stain or wax them if you wish, beforehand. We have some stains available at either the Craft Huddle (1st Tues of the month 1-3pm) or Hobby Huddle (2nd Friday of the month 7-9pm) at Garthorpe Village Hall, which are free with the tree booking. Please let us know beforehand when you wish to attend so we can make sure they are available. First come first served. Book early!
