Calling all budding artists both new and experienced..... Further to the taster session in October 2024, the very talented Peter Scott will be providing a series of 6 watercolour painting classes to progress your skills. Booking is for the whole series to get the most out of Peter’s guidance as each session will cover a different aspect of watercolour painting, using a variety of subjects and techniques. Peter will take photos and write a short method for each session which will be both an aide memoire for practising at home, and provide information in case anyone misses a class. The taster session was very popular, so early booking is advised to be sure of a place. The classes will again be at Swinefleet Village Hall, on Friday evenings from 7 – 9pm, and will be fortnightly starting on February 7th 2025. The cost is £60.00 for the series and includes light refreshments. To keep the cost of the sessions down, and so that you can practise in your own time, you will be required to provide your own materials. Peter has very kindly provided an advice document for what you will require. He has no commercial interest in the sources he recommends, and you may be able to find cheaper items, though better quality may help with better results. You will need: Paper/paints/brushes/palette/pencils and a jam jar, details of which will be emailed to you on booking. Peter will set up a private Facebook group for participants to seek advice and to share experiences, your consent to be added to the group will be required if you wish to join.
